9.4 New Pen tool defaults to white when using

As a user, I want to be able to see the line as I draw utilizing the pen tool so that I can get a preview of what I'm drawing instead of being surprised in the end.
Not sure why the preview of what you're drawing is white so the user can't see what they're doing.

Found out the reason why. The color of the line is actually a light gray despite the fact that I have the line color selected as black. Preferably, the line color matched the expected (selected) color instead. So, when I didn't see anything that was being drawn on top of an already light gray background, it was a little confusing.
