Acting on widgets outside a master

Answered Victor Conesa 9 years ago

I need to be able to act on widgets outside a master, similar to the Raise Event feature in Axure.

For example, I have a header master that contains links. When clicked, "link 1" should set "panel A" as active in a dynamic panel widget located OUTSIDE the master. Clicking "link 2" should set "panel B" as active in the same dynamic panel, etc.

Any ideas?

Hi Kevin,

Set active panel events should work whether or not there is a master.

For further clarification, is it possible if you could send us the prototype in which this is an issue here or on our support site?

Hi, Danielle--

Sure, I have a small prototype ready to show you my problem. How should I get it to you? I don't see a way to add it to this thread...

You can send it to us and we'll receive it.

Thanks--I've sent you a prototype called "Master demo (Kevin Mattice).vp."

What I want is for each link in the red header master to activate its respective panel in the blue DP below. Can't find a way to make that interaction happen.

Hope this helps.
