Application Crashing Computer on Events Panel Hover

Solved Anthony Brown 7 years ago

Hi,

I am using the free full trial version until my company's purchase requisition can be approved for the paid version. I am having a major issue with Justinmind 7.9.0 on Windows 10. Whenever I open my project, click on a layer that has events on it and then HOVER over the Events panel to make edits, my entire computer crashes over and over again.

When I was using version 7.7 on Windows 7 I didn't have any issues, if that helps at all. I'm not sure what's going on, but this is causing a major issue, as I can't do anything with with any of my projects.

Thanks in advance for any help given.

Hi Anthony,

Sorry about that! It sounds like something went wrong with the installation process. We suggest you reinstall Justinmind from a fresh download, which you can do here: justinmind.com/download

Hi Danielle,

I have already done that twice now. I even installed version 7.7 to see if that was the issue, but it's still happening all the time. There seems to be something more going on here. It's definitely not a bad install, and it consistently happens when I go to edit Events on a Windows 10 machine.

Also, I don't know if this helps, but I am using Windows 10 Creators Update. I am getting blue screen crashes that say: Stop Mode: UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP

This happens whenever I add or try to edit Events in existing projects, or even in projects that I create from scratch. Something seems to be going on with the Events panel.

Is anybody going to respond further to this? I have seen Agents online but have not received any further response.

Hi Anthony,

It appears to be an issue with your computer. Can you try to open the same file on another computer to check if it works as expected? If it crashes there too, then you can send the .vp file to us with this info and we can take a look.

Hi Danielle,

I have tried it on another computer already and it is doing the same thing. I do not believe this is an issue with my computer, because Justinmind is literally the only software that does this. I use 3D software, Adobe Creative Suite and other similar programs all day every day with no issues. Justinmind is the only program that is crashing my computer. I have never had this issue with any other program.

Also, another user posted in this thread and it seems like they are having the same issue as well, so I don't think this is isolated to just my computer. Is it possible something else is the problem?

Unfortunately I can't send you the .vp that I am working on because it is for the company that I work for, and it contains confidential info. I can create a new .vp and add and Effect and send that, because this issue is happening in any file that I try to use Effects in using Windows 10 Creator's Update.

Thanks.

Hi Anthony,

Thanks for the info. If you can, send the new .vp file to us and we'll check it out and see what's causing the issue.
