can I export from justinmind to a psd file?

Answered Victor Conesa 13 years ago

I created a 5-page wireframe, and now I need my designer to make it look more attractive. She'll be creating the design in photoshop. It will be very tedious and time-consuming for her to copy and paste everything from my 5 pages into photoshop. Can I export a psd file from justinmind, to save her a lot of time?

Thank you!

Hi,

You can save the whole screen in png format: right click on any empty space on the screen and then click "save as image". This will save you from copying and pasting every element but, keep in mind that the result will be a single layer in photoshop. You can't export directly to psd.

You can also select the option 'Share -> Save as images...' from the main menu.

Thank you both for your responses. Unfortunately, I do need all the elements in separate layers, so it won't work to export the screens as images.

Are most of your customers designers? If so, they probably don't need to export screens as psd files. But I'm not a designer; I specialize in user experience and conversion testing. I love justinmind for creating and testing wireframes. However, I'm always going to need to pass off my wireframe to a designer who can make my wireframe more attractive in photoshop. If you have other customers like me, this would be an awesome feature to add.

Would you be willing to add that to your future feature list, or am I the only one who has asked for this?

Thank you!

We will take a look at the psd format and see if there is a way to implement that kind of export. I agree it would we great to have it.

We are going to launch an API soon to access to the prototype's information programmatically so anyone will be able to make their own types of exports, like that one to PSD

is there a way to import PSD file directly to justinmind and make changes in psd layers and see that updated in Justinmind. I will have all app screen in same psd file and hide some layers to bring another screen visual. Please let me know the possibilities.

PSD export would be a great feature.

Really give the designers what to start with and just do their adjustments!

Otherwise you have to double the work again (PSD) and again (implementation).
