Color picker added to upper toolbar
Today I was adding some iOS Icons to my prototype. I found that I could not change the color of the icon using any color picker in the upper toolbar. I was suprised to see a "Color" section in the right-side Properties panel that did allow me to change the color of the icon. I would like a picker on the top that mimics the "color" tool on the right side.
Thank you,
Tim
Dear Tim,
Which Justinmind version are you using? Also, have you tried using different icons to see if this happens with a specific one?

Sonia,
I don't have time to look through a bunch of different icons, but for the sake of comparison I tried this on various types of icon widgets. Here are the results:
The problem is the inconsistency in how these types of icons are manipulated. On the FontAwesome and Windows 10 icons, that "Color" section in the right properties doesn't appear at all. While for iOS and Android that section does appear. I am currently working with FontAwesome and iOS icons. When changing the color is a different process depending on the icon type, it's simply confusing.
For the last several weeks, I didn't know I could change the color of an iOS icon until another employee showed me how to do it. I'm glad I now can do it, but it's still a confusing experience for what a user would consider to be the same process.
I am on v7.9.2 for Windows.
Thanks, Tim

Dear Tim,
The reason why you are encountering this "inconsistency" is that since version 7.4.0 we've been rebuilding all of our "IOS9 Icons" and "Android icons" widget libraries with SVG vectors, whereas before they were made using labels. That's why all the icons that have been updated to SVG, now must be modified by using the properties tab.
Moreover, if you need to modify any of the icon libraries that are still pending to be updated (Win 10 / Apple Watch / Oracle / Sap...) changes must be applied by using the text properties. Other galleries such Win 8 / Android KitKat / Blackberry... won't be modified.
