Copy-Paste Conditions problem

Solved Victor Conesa 9 years ago

When defining a complex interaction, pasting "Else when" conditions (with or without adding an action) in the Event viewer often seems to cause the conditions to become out of order in the Events viewer, and separated from the associated actions. It is very distressing as you think you have lost your work!

I find, however, that if I cause the viewer to re-paint (by closing and opening it, for example) the order is correctly restored.

.. Just trying to help improve a great product! :)

Hi Roy,

May I ask if you could you elaborate more on what you mean? A video or some screenshots would help us understand.

I found the same problem. When you copy/paste a condition into an existing event (see pasting-into-existing-event.png), that is part of a list of conditions, the visuals in the 'Events' tab become corrupted (see visual-bug-after-pasting.png) by showing the conditions out of order. You need to click on some other layer in the outline and click back on the object that had the event pasted into it for it to show up properly again (see visual-bug-reset.png). At first I thought, like the original poster, that something went wrong and that I had to reload the whole file from the last save.

Hi there,

You are right. It's a bug that our development team will need to solve on future updates.

Thank you for taking the time to report this and sorry for any inconvenience.
