Copy rows from one data master to another
Hi, I would like to copy some rows from one data master to another. They have the same fields. This action should be executed when the user click on a button. With the help of your tutorials, I got how to filter a Data Master to show only some rows into a data list, but that's not really what i'm trying to do.
If someone can help me, thanks in advance.
Hi Cédric,
To do this, follow the instructions in this tutorial https://www.justinmind.com/support/operations-with-data-masters/ under 'Create new records.' Then, instead of the input fields setting the new value, drag the values within the data list.
Hope this answer your questions.
Best,
Danielle

Hi,
Thank you for your answer, I understand the first part of your solution very well, but, when it comes to fill the fields of the "add value expression", I don't want my source to be a data list, but another data master (and using a filter to get only certain rows, ideally). I could use a data list -> apply a filter -> fill my other data master with your solution, but I would like to avoid the data list. Is this possible?
Again, thank you for your answer

Hi Cédric,
Unfortunately you'll need something on the screen to set the value to. You could always create a data list, then set it as hidden on the screen, so you won't see it during simulation, but will be able to obtain values from it.
