CSV Import into one column only

Answered Victor Conesa 10 years ago

Having problems when I upload a CSV file. I have scoured the net for hours and here and can't figure it out. When I import a csv file it puts all data (with commas) into the one column as opposed to separating it. I have made sure my keyboard settings have comma as the list separator but I can't figure this out. I've checked out csv issues and can't discover why my data won't import separately... Can anyone please assist?

Hello Cheyne,

On the "Import Data Master from CSV" portion of this page ( http://www.justinmind.com/help/index.... ), did you choose the comma as the field delimiter?

It's a year later but I'm having this issue as well. The comma is indeed chosen as the field delimiter.

Same problem. Fixed it replacing commas with tab delimiters.

Same problem here. Have to search and replace every time from , to ;. Tried exporting from both excel and google drive. Note - this could be mac-specific. I believe that mac stores the files slightly differently than windows.
