Easy access for JIRA users
Hello,
I wonder if there is any simple way to give a permission for my colleagues, to see and comment on a prototype which is linked in JIRA issue? By now I checked those cases below:
1) Creating a group of reviewers. It works for each user, but only using a link from the invitation e-mail. Through the link in JIRA issue nope... And it's important to have this prototype available in one place (issue).
2) Mark the prototype as public and set a password. Then paste this link into JIRA issue. Fine, but no comments allowed...
The idea with reviewers is ok, but it should be possible for them to open up the prototype through the same link, as long as they are logged into their mailbox. What do you think and if it's possible to solve it somehow?
Greetings,
Michal
Hi Michal,
You can do this by following these steps:
1) Add the colleagues as reviewers in your online account.
2) Send them this link: https://www.justinmind.com/usernote/newPass.action and have them designate a password for their reviewer account.
3) Invite them to review the prototype. Instead of following the link sent by that email, ignore it, and use the link found in Jira.
Let me know how this works for you.
Best,
Danielle

Hey Danielle,
Thank you for replying :) I tried this method, but the reviewer is getting the feedback that it can't find the account with this e-mail... What's interesting - I did it successfully with one of my private e-mail addresses.
We are actually testing JIM and the question is - will you be able to fix it if we upgrade to enterprise license? It does matter really.
Thanks!

And I checked again - this account which works is not the reviewer only, but a trial user too... For those who are ONLY reviewers, it's failed.

Waiting for it :)
Waiting for it :)
Hi Michal,
We were able to view the prototype as a reviewer only through the link. Can you confirm that those who have tried the steps listed above have followed them exactly?
