Hiding device for mobile prototype testing

Answered Victor Conesa 8 years ago

Hi,

We use user zoom for remote user testing and this tool has a mobile option. As part of the tool they offer users the ability to test on mobile. This requires the test subject to download an app, which then directs the user to the test.

My question is, is it possible for justinmind to have a web url that can be used on the in the test without downloading the justinmind app or have the device background image, just show prototype.

Hi Andrew,

Unfortunately, you will have to use the View on Device Application when testing your prototype on mobile devices.

If you export it to HTML and host it elsewhere should it work?

Surely this viewing items outside the app is something JIM should offer with the testing. I notice you offer the userzoom integration and thought this would be considered as part of it

Hi Andrew,

You must use the View on Device application if you wish to simulate on a device. Exporting it alone will not work.

Danielle
