How do I get a horizontal scroll to work while the keyboard is still up?
For a chat/messaging application, I'm trying to simulate the horizontal scroll bar for remembered words. I have an input field, which, simulated, the keyboard slides up when you tap on the input field. And when you tap on it again, the keyboard slides back down. I want to introduce a horizontal scroll bar for remembered words, like in the iPhone and Android messaging apps.
This issue is, when I tap on the horizontal scroll bar and scroll through the bar, the keyboard slides down (which shouldn't happen). How do I fix this?

It sounds like you might have interfering events which are causing the keyboard to slide down instead of stay in place. Do you have any conditions for your event that will detect if the keyboard has already been tapped before?
