How to add play and pause buttons for audio

So I have a button to play audio when needed but is there a way of:

a. Stopping the audio on pressing another button
b. Stopping the audio when the page unloads

This was three years ago, along with some similar comments on other posts. Why has this basic function still not been implemented?

yea i said the same thing, and its such an important option strange that after 3 years there still is no sollution to this, you add the play button to play audio files but no stop button or option.... commooon :)
