How to enter a date range for filtering a data list

I need to filter a datalist based on a date range. I need to be able to filter for a year or 6 mos prior to the current date.

I cant figure out how to set that in the expression builder,

Has anyone done this, to know if its possible??

Thanks but that's Not quite it, Im trying to filter a datalist by a date field. I want to show dates that are a year or 2 years older than the current date. so I have a checkbox that when checked will filter the datalist for the date.

i tinker with filter[list, dateSubmitted <= [systemdate (im not sure how to indicate 2 years before here)
