how to show the keyboard for my login page in android

Answered Travelgroove Lisa 5 years ago

I've just joined up. For my first page, login page, I've added Input Text Field (for email and password) and a button. I can type into the Input Text Fields in Simulate but I will have beta testers using it on their phones. How do I get the keyboard to display on an Android phone (as the tutorials say that only in iPhone will the keyboard show up automatically)?

The Android keyboard will automatically appear when you focus in on an Input Text Field when viewing the prototype on your device.

Thanks Danielle. I've just viewed it on my phone and the keyboard appears. I notice that the Input Text Fields (for username and password fields on my first screen) that you can type in anything and that I can still move to next page as I have it linked on the button. Does this mean my beta testers simply type anything just to go through the process of using my app? That they dont really have to create a username/password in order to login to my prototype?

You can invite your beta testers as reviewers in Justinmind, and they'll receive an email. In that email, they'll find a token, which they can enter in the mobile app of Justinmind.

Thanks Danielle. I've watched the video tutorials as per your links and none of them mention how to use the App Token. I want my beta testers to review the app on their phones, not through the online account.

So where do they type in the App token? I understand that they will have to download the Justinmind app first. Do they then create their own login or do they simply type in the App token in username or password sections of the Justinmind app?

Also, as I've created this app by selecting Android, will iPhone users be able to view it as well? Or do I have to create a second copy of the app for Apple?

thanks.

Once they download the Justinmind app, they’ll see ‘Introduce token’ text.

Click on that and they’ll see a dialog to introduce the token they received in their reviewer invite email.

Both Android and iPhone users will be able to view the prototype.
