To center content on a screen, select the base screen in the outline palette, and then look to the properties palette. Then, tick the 'center screen's content' box.

Hi Kanthy,

Go to "edit-->center content..." and there you can select all the screens and templates to be centered.

Best regards.

I don't see the "Center screen's content" option, is there a trick to getting it to appear in the Properties area? I see all the other options as displayed above.

Hello,

Go to the Screen palette and then right click and select 'Edit' then you will be able to see the option to 'Center screen's content'.

My "Center Screens Content" is greyed out on every Screen template I use ... Any ideas why?

I have attached the screenshot - No matter whether the Lock Vertical or Horizontal etc. is ticked the Center Screen is still greyed out.

Thank you for your expedient response too!!! :-D

Hi Liam, the alignment bar should be enabled when selecting one or more elements of the canvas, could you tell me if the error still happens in this case?

It is not the alignment bar's state that is the issue(it's working 100% when there is an element on the canvas), but rather the issue is that when I dynamically resize an image in an event animation, it is resizing from the top left when I would really it rather resize from the center.

Thank you

I received the video tutorial, but it still doesn't cover the issue I am trying to rectify.

In the events I am trying to resize an image a little bit larger and then I will add another event thereafter to make it go back to it's original size.

I have another image of a cursor that will go over the other image to show the action required in order to proceed to the next screen, this cursor image is centered to the canvas, so it is extremely noticeable when the first image resizes and Grows to the right.

Is there no way of making it grow from the center out?

Thank you

I'm getting it right if I use the Pin functions, but then the Main Element seems to fly in from the left for some reason

Liam,

The option that is grayed out in the "Center Screen's Content" dialog is disabled for prototypes that are mobile / tablet. With a web prototype, the option should be enabled.

For what it asks to resize an element from the center, at the moment there is no direct option to do that. But you can try doing a resize event followed by a move event to "emulate" that it does resize from the center. It should also indicate that the two events have to be done at the same time by changing the arrow for the chain in the Events Palette as I show you in the attached image.

Gtts.

Thank you Ria, I will try your solution - I shall try it out, but perhaps may opt to go with a web-app instead if that's the better solution. ;-)

Lian, let me know how it went and if there's anything else I can do for you.
