How to link to another screen when changing into portrait mode?

Answered Victor Conesa 10 years ago

Hi all! I'm having a problem when I want to link to another screen as I rotate the device to portrait mode. What I do is to add on Orientation Portrait event and choose link to action. Then I simulate it on my PC and click "Rotate". But the prototype doesn't change the screen. What's wrong?

Hi!

May I ask if you ever received an answer/solution for this problem?

Many thanks,

Well, if you ask concrete question, I am happy to do, but since your answer leads to nowhere, pretty hard to decide which part is not clear. You need my account credentials, links, or what you need to be able to provide real help?

Once again the problem description in more structural way, if this is what you may need this:

I have a project, where I had created both portrait and landscape screens.

I properly added events as:

ON PORTRAIT - Link To

ON LANDSCAPE - Link To

PROBLEM:

- When I push the SIMULATE button within the windows software, and I use the "ROTATE" button on the top, the portrait/landscape designs are loading properly.

BUT

- When I try it online (with the generated link) OR within JustInMind iOS app (after using the "View on Device" button in the software), ALWAYS the portrait mode loading, regardless that I turn the iPhone into landscape mode (and portrait mode is locked on the device).

Could you help me please to fix the problem?

Hi D.Moore,

If possible, could you please clarify if when doing the simulation (with the generated link) you are using the "Rotate" button?

The rotate button is just to configure the view of the prototype but is not related with the portrait / landscape mode. You will just be able to simulate portrait / landscape mode when moving the device with your hands.

Best,
