iPhone 6 prototype scaling incorrectly

Answered Victor Conesa 9 years ago

When viewing an iPhone 6 prototype on the iPhone app (on an iPhone 6)P the prototype is scaled up and extends beyond the boundaries of the display. It displays correctly on the web preview.

Additional Question: If the unit is pixels (there is no "pt" option in Justinmind) why is the iPhone 6 template 375*667? Shouldn't it be 750*1334 if the unit is pixels?

Thanks!

Hello Peter,

As a preliminary measure, please ensure you are running the latest version of the JustInMind mobile application. As for the additional questions, the measure is set as pixels. However, since JustInMind does not show in retina by default, therefore resolution does not match the above mentioned values. To learn more about scaling, you may the following link of use:

I am also experiencing this problem. We have two iPhone 6's to test on, one is showing up fine and the other is extending beyond the boundaries of the device in the same manner as listed above. They are identical devices using the same OS. Both devices are also using the latest version of the software so the response above doesn't help.

Also we are unable to move the screen back and forth (which is the expected behavior if viewing on a different model such as an android where the screen size is different).

Thanks.

I dont see a solution to this, I built the prototype for the iphone 6 plus, it looks fine in the simulation, but when I test on the device its larger than the actual screen.

Hi Sierra,

In order to investigate the issue, can you provide us more information?

(App and software version, system configuration, device configuration..)

Also if you wish to send us your prototype and that can be also useful.

Hi all,

We have detected a problem regarding the 'zoomed view' on iPhone 6 and 6 plus. When this feature is activated, everything is zoomed and that is why the screen fits to the previous iphone (iphone 6 with zoomed view = iphone 5 screen, iphone 6plus with zoomed view = iphone 6).

We are working on finding the solution to this. In the meantime. if you are the only person who is testing the prototype, you can adjust the simulation zoom (Gear icon next to green button 'simulate') to 91% and will work almost perfect. Another workaround is to temporarily disable the zoomed view on your device.

Hi Dominik,

Can you make sure both of you are using the zoomed view and under this circumstance it is working differently? Or is it possible that you coleague is not using zoomed view on 8.4?

Best,

Lidia
