It is no more possible to create link between elements and page

In Progress Filip Blahus 5 years ago

Hi, I am using the Free version of Prototyper (trial expired). Everything worked fine till last week, when I got serious problem regarding linking elements and pages.

All historically created links (click on button => open different page) works perfectly.

But in time I want to create new link or change the existing one, it is not possible:

- drag&drop does not do anything (red "stop" icon occurs in time I go over the target page name)

- in context menu of the button there is no item called "Add link" anymore

This problem I have in all previously created projects and in all newly created projects also, regardless elements and pages I try to connect.

It occurred firstly on Prototyper version 8.7.3, then I updated to 8.7.4 but it persists.

My colleague has the same issue with links (trial expired, applies to all projects).

In time my other colleague installs Prototyper with new registration (so he is within trial), it works, no problems. We all have same notebooks, sw, internet connectivity.

Do you please have ideas how to fix this issue?

Thank you.

Try reinstalling from a fresh download here.

That I did not try while I dont have administrators rights. I have to wait for administrator to come, let you know if it helped. Thank you.

Hello, I must say the reinstall did not help. So the issue persists on both mine and colleagues installation. Have you please any other suggestions?

Thank you.

Hi, the issue still persists, can anybody please help us to make the Prototyper work again? It is useless right now. Thank you.

Sorry, I meant to update you that we've changed some of the capabilities of the Free version once a trial expires. Unfortunately you will need to purchase a subscription in order to create new Links again.

You may want to update your official websites and differences between your free and paid version if this is the case. The website explicitly states that you can create links in the free version. As well as using the preloaded widgets (which have now disappeared, and I'm assuming aren't included in the free version anymore).

I believe those sites have been updated. Is there a page that you've found shows incorrect information? Please let us know!

You'll be able to use the Basic libraries in the free version, but won't be able to add new or custom ones.

This leaves me in a pretty poor position, I can no longer continue work on an project that is nearing completion.

I'll let our team know about that. I'm sorry for any misunderstanding!

It's not really a misunderstanding though. We were led to believe this product had functionality that it actually doesn't past a trial period.

Yes, we need to update that post - it's from almost 5 years ago. Unfortunately it's the first one that pops up when you search for the free version. This site should show instead, but we aren't able to control which posts show first in Searches.
