Menu not working in web page

Solved Juan Osudar 6 years ago

Hi, I'm working on a simple web page, with a menu with multiple vertical submenus.

On the design screen, this works wonderfully.

But, when I use Simulate, or export as html, this really works badly. The default "mouse Over" event does not correctly capture my pointer.

Some SubMenu, do not collapse when removing the pointer from above, accumulating with others.

In addition, some MenuItems within the submenu, are not accessible.

I am using, from 8.4.1 version.

Hi Juan,

Sorry for any inconvenience! If possible, can you attach the .vp file here so we can look at this? You can compress it to a .zip file, or upload it to a file sharing service like Dropbox and link to it here.

Best,

Danielle

Looks like this is a bug! We've sent it to our development team and we're going to work on fixing this.

Hello. Thanks for the help. The thing is my trial version is expiring in a few days and i need to do a presentation of this to get management to buy the license. Do you know of any workaround we could use to get it presentable?

Using the free version you can still simulate your prototype. If you would like an extension of your trial, you can contact us here.

I am having the same issue here. Is there any way you guys can fix it without me having to upload my .vp?

We are currently working on a fix for this, but unfortunately do not have a set date for that release. Since we're aware of the issue, there's no need to upload your file.

One more case to add to your fix.

When the menu is in a Dynamic panel to simulate a sticky menu, sub-menus are not displayed over the Dynamic panel. All along the Dynamic panel they are hidden under it! Only appear the remaining sub-menus below the Dynamic panel if there are more sub-menus than the height of the Dynamic panel.

In this example, the 1st menu above "Persons" is not displayed, it's under the Dynamic panel, even if you tick "Always on top"...

Any fix or workaround?

Thanks for the info. The fix for this will be released in the next few weeks.

This has been fixed in our new update today. Go to Help -> Check for updates, or go to Justinmind.com/download to get version 8.5.

At least not the bug I mentioned above (menu in a Dynamic panel).

This is not fixed. So I may have to open a new Topic, this one being tagged "Solved".

Apologies for the confusion. Can you attach a file that shows what you're describing?

Here it is.

Simulate the Test1 screen and display the Admin sub-menus.

Even worst, there a new bug with JIM 8.5.0: if the Dynamic Panel is in a Master, then the whole DP is not displayed during simulation (simulate the Test2 screen).

Thanks for attaching that. We identified the issue, and it will be fixed for prototypes uploaded to the online server tomorrow. An update fixing this for the desktop application will be included in the next release.

Fixing the 2 issues ? (menu and DP not visible)

photo

Yes, both will be fixed.

Ok, thanks!

Any workaround for the DP not visible?(except a copy/paste of the header on every pages + to update every pages every time the header is updated)

It's really annoying as everything is gone (sticky header, logo, menus, etc.) and I need a DP to simulate a sticky header :-/

A possible workaround could be using a template instead of a master.

> template instead of a master.

Very good idea, it's even more appropriate for my header and it works!

Thanks.

BTW, when is the next release?

What's the frequency of your releases?

There's no history anywhere, we can't find any timeline and changelog.

I know there are some few blog posts, but it's not consistent, not for all vesions have one, there's no exhaustive changelog.

Any fix for this bug yet?

Hi, I have the 8.7.0 version (the latest) but still have this issue, the submenu items doesn't appear.

Thank you....

If possible, can you attach the .vp file here so we can see the issue? You can compress it to .zip/.rar to attach it here.
