More shape options - elipse, triangle etc

Completed Victor Conesa 13 years ago

I'm currently evaluating Justinmind vs Axure RP. I wondered if there will be more options for adding shapes to a prototype. In axure it is possible to choose from elipse, triangle, circle and a few others.

In JIM the only option I can see at the moment is to draw the shape in another package, and import it as an image into JIM.

Right now there isn't any shapes like triangles or circles but we plan to add them in future releases.

Please add rotation to the elements that is also super awesome thing you are missing.

We are also working on that. So I guess that the next release will have both features, rotate and shapes.

do you guys have some idea of release timeline?

Also having the ability to rotate this is key.. this is really really holding me back using some aspects of your software

So true. In fact we are developing both features simultaneously

Hey everyone,

I figured out how to make a circle in the pro version!!!!

You simply select the rectangle on the stage.

Go to the properties panel

There is a control that says "round" under "border"

It's very simple, and I like that it also controls how round the corners are in a rectangle. In Axure, the round rectangle is set, and is not "round" enough for my taste.

Can't find a triangle though ;-)

Have justinmind considered CSS shapes could be a way to tackle this problem?

If we had a way to add custom HTML widgets (without using the Iframe widget) these could just be pasted in.

eg:

div style="width: 0;

height: 0;

border-left: 50px solid transparent;

border-right: 50px solid transparent;

border-top: 100px solid red;"

/div

We are going to generate the shapes using vector graphics SVG. They will be available, if everything goes as expected, in a month or so.
