Need a way to Hide the illustrated phone/device shell

Answered Uri 8 years ago

Is there a way to Hide the illustrated phone/device shell outline from the interface and see just the rectangle I'm working on like in other prototyping apps? If not please make a feature request to be able to hide it - This can be annoying for people who don't want or need to see that. Thanks much!

Hi Uri,

Unfortunately, there isn't any option to hide directly the ilustrated device however you can create your prototype by using the web canvas and customising its canvas measures.

Thanks that's a workaround. Can I also change previous files that were made as mobile canvas to web canvas, to get rid of the phone illustration around it?

Let me also request this as a feature for added convenience. To be able to simply hide the phone illustration. It seems non-standard almost childlike sorry in such an advanced interface like this.. OK thanks I'll just choose web canvas for my mobile projects for now and maybe I can convert previous ones. Thanks for answering!

You can also click on the gear next to the Simulate button and change the device from 'iPhone' to 'Web'

Thanks, Can canvas be changed on previous files or is canvas type only selectable at the beginning?

Hi Uri. Only at the beginning however you can save the vp file and open a new project with a different canvas and then import the prototype.
