"Overlay Templates" for foreground components shared across multiple screens.

Completed Dave 9 years ago

Currently, Justinmind users enjoy templates, which provide background elements shared across multiple pages. Template contents appear behind the contents of each screen that uses the template, which is great for backgrounds, layouts, and so forth.

I propose "Overlay Templates," also shared across multiple pages, for common components that must appear in front of the contents of each screen, such as pop-ups, "mega menus," dialogs, lightboxes and other site-wide features that are difficult to maintain when they must be replicated across many screens.

You have a checkbox in the property panel to keep elements on top. Even in a template.

Thank you. I had it checked, but when local screen components appeared in front of "Always on Top" components in the canvas, I managed to forget that it's different in simulation than in editing.

Hi Dave,

You colud also try to use Masters instead of Templates. I think it could be better for dialogs, pop-ups, etc.

Thank you, Bernat. I have never really used masters, but I will learn about them.
