Return from external URL

Solved Lipoff 4 years ago

How does the user, on iOs, return to my prototype from a button that navigates to an external URL?

On Android there's a back button, and if the user is viewing the prototype via the browser on iOs there's a soft back button, but if the user is viewing the prototype via the JustInMind app on iOs there appears to be no way to move back without a double-finger tap to bring up the modal dialog to exit the prototype entirely. Shouldn't there be a button with an arrow at the top-left of the spawned browser window? Or am I missing something?

Hello, this is a great question. Which version of Justinmind are you using?

Justinmind isn't able to access those soft key features on Android or IOS when going to an external URL. What you can do is instead of creating an event that goes to an external URL is create a new screen and add a 'website' widget. Set it to 100% width and height then add a back button to that and see if that could work as an alternative. Keep in mind that not all websites will work in that widget because of security features.

Let me know if this helps or if you have more questions.

Thank you,
