selected item cannot be inserted into selected container

My goal: Two dynamic panels. Move one item to the next. See example here https://www.justinmind.com/support/drag-and-drop-elements-between-lists/
I followed the justinmind video instructions to do this and it still doesnt work. headache

I made two dynamic panels.
Made a rectangle with hotspot. Grouped them. Made sure hotspot was on top as instructed.
Selected hotspot to add events.
Successfully added event: move on drag fixed with cursor

ISSUE: adding a new event for on drag stop: i selected the gear and picked panel 1. then i selected insert into. here is where the issue is:
I select the grouped hotspot/rectangle. Then in the bottom screen i select panel 1. I get the error "one of the selected items cannot be inserted into the selected container"

I would appreciate any help. thank you so much!

If you expand the Dynamic Panel in the Event creator and choose the Panel inside (might be named Panel_2) - does that work? You can't select the base Dynamic Panel to insert into.

the panel inside is properly selected. I also tried a different panel just to see if it worked and it didnt. thank you for the prompt reply. any other possible solutions? I edited original post to link the video instructions im working off of

Thanks for clarifying. If possible, can you attach the file here so we can check it out? We're not quite sure why it wouldn't be working. You can compress the .vp file to .zip/.rar to attach it here.

I just realized: My original error occurred while I was working on a template screen. I tried it on a regular screen and it worked. Is this feature not allowed on template screens?

This looks to be a bug on templates. Thanks for informing us about this - I've sent it to our development team and we'll work on a fix. For now, you could create the events on a regular screen and then copy them over to the template. You won't be able to create them manually right now.
