Set as Default Style - version 9

Known Will Devi 3 years ago

I cannot figure out how to set default styles for widgets in v9. This is possible with v8, but I don't see the button in v9 to do this.

Here's the screenshot from v8.

Any update here? Is this a problem or am I just missing something? As of now I have to manually restyle every single object I add, which is taking a lot of time.

Is this not a massive issue for people? Seems like every single widget I add takes extra time... and no response from the JIM team. Kinda worries me about building on JIM going forward.

Hello,

We removed this feature from version 9 but are in the works of adding a similar feature in our next version.

Thank you kindly,

Was this feature (default styles) deployed in one of the most recent versions?

Thx

Hi will, you can check the following link:

https://www.justinmind.com/support/ui-widget-libraries/

you can edit your styles from the UI widget libraries.

Let me know if this information has been useful to you.

Greetings.

This helps in a way, but still does not appear to replace the old 'default style' function. Based on the documentation it appears that I have to manually update the style for every single element after I initially create it. Maybe I'm missing something.

If I use the "T" hotkey to create a text widget, by default it is always in arial font, even though I don't use arial anywhere in our app. Do I have to manually edit every new widget after I create it? Is there a way I can make the "T" hotkey default to my base text style?

Hello, yes you can also change the style by going to : menu option 'Edit - Default Styles'

LEt me know how it goes.
