Simulating text messaging
Hello, I am trying to create a feature that simulates the current standard of text message...i.e. where as the user can type a new message and it updates within the same screen however I am running into issues? I was wondering if anyone has come across this before?
Hi David,
Can you attach an example of what you're looking for and how this looks like so we can assist you more helpfully?

here is a screen shot of one of the screens I am talking about. Basically I am looking to do a dynamic screen where the user can update the messaging component by using the text input field.
Also, thanks for the quick reply. Y'all are also.

P.S. -Do you know why the customer support for paid users doesn't work? I can't login for some reason?

What about creating a data master to hold the messages and using a formatted data list to display the messages? You can just re-set the data master on the data list with each click of the send button which will update your data list with the latest message.
This forum won't allow me to attach a .vp file but you can dl it here.

Thanks to everyone. I think I was making the formula more sophisticated than it had to be. Lots of thanks to @stphn for his example...definitely had a light bulb go off in my head and had to remember to K.I.S.S the solution. Thanks!!
