Using data from data list to auto fill forms
I want to simulate an admin managing orders. I have a data list used as a snapshot list where the user can see summary order information and then choose a specific order to view/manage/edit. I need to use the data from the row that was picked to populate a form where the user has to enter additional data.
Once the admin has done this I want them to see a complete order. The previous list they chose the order from only had summary data. If I can use hidden data from the data master to fill in as many fields as a I need that would be amazing.
Does Justinmind have this capability?
Hi Jan,
The following tutorial should help : https://www.justinmind.com/support/add-a-shopping-cart-to-your-interactive-prototypes/

Thank you Sonia,
That helped some but I need to display the chosen data in specific fields, i.e: In a form. The data list that the product(s) are chosen from add information in the row to fields that are in a form.
So can I link fields in a data list row to fields in a form so when I choose "Use Item" (same as add to cart) the chosen row's data is distributed the specific data fields? I assume this is with variables but the login screen variables tutorial doesn't help as I need a combination of add to cart and variables for form fields.
Thank you Sonia,

Hi Jan,
The following video capture I've created shows another example that might help.

Hi Sonia,
You are really wonderful. It's probably me communicating it incorrectly. Anyway, although this isn't what I was looking for I figured it out.
Thank you!

Hi Sonia,
I think my frustration, not with you or Justinmind, is from not being able to get the simple shopping cart scenario to work. I followed the tutorial you sent to a tee, I think ;)
Can you take a look at it and let me know where I'm going wrong? It's attached.
Thank you for all of your help with this.
Best, Jan
